A rather nothing session as stocks started higher, lost the mojo, and are fighting to basically a draw, at least in the large cap indices. Small and midcaps are putting in a credible but not situation-changing moves.
SP500 1.75, 0.06%
NASDAQ 8.40, 0.12%
DJ30 -51.56, -0.19%
SP400 0.63%
RUTX 0.69%
SOX 0.41%
A 1-2-3 dip was not enough to reset stocks for a new move higher in the range. At least it looks to be something of a catch up session for the smaller cap stocks. Silver lining search for that one.
Still lots of talk about trade, the main topic of the new week (as well as the end of last week) given the slowing earnings season. With not a lot of other news the stations and websites run with what they have.
Picked up some ISRG and MCHP, both holding up well enough. Others we are looking at were up early then stalled. The market is resting but still not rested and thus continues the pullback at this -- inflation point.
